In general, there are subtle differences between weapons (such as the AK-47 Case Hardened) and knives that affect the skin's rating. In our article, we will therefore look at both Case Hardened knives and weapons to give you a complete overview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes Case Hardened Skins so special<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The special feature of case hardened skins lies in their origin from real metallurgy. Case hardened skins reflect the colors that are created during the hardening process of metal. But this is where the pattern index comes into play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The amount of blue visible on the skin varies depending on the pattern index. A higher proportion of blue makes the skin more desirable and therefore more valuable. As already mentioned, the blue on case hardened skins is the decisive factor for their rating. A real highlight among the case hardened skins are the so-called \"Blue Gems\". These are skins that have a particularly high proportion of blue. As a rule, we speak of blue gems if the blue content is above the range of 55-65%, although this also depends on the weapon or knife in question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blue Gems are highly coveted in the community as they are not only aesthetically pleasing but also have a considerable value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An alternative option, although not as popular as Blue Gems, is Gold Gems. This skin is characterized by the fact that it has almost no blue. How do I find out how well my case is hardened?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Assessing the quality of a Case Hardened Skins<\/strong><\/a> requires an understanding of the specific weapon or knife. In general, case-hardened skins are divided into different tiers, with Tier 1 containing the most sought-after skins. The assignment to the individual tiers is based on the amount of blue, with a completely blue skin, for example, being assigned to Tier 1. But how can you find out which tier your skin falls into?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One option is to use tables with pattern indices. You simply compare the pattern index of your own skin (How to find out your pattern index<\/span><\/a><\/strong>) with those in the table. For example, if your pattern index is 559 and this index is under Tier 2 in the table, you know that your skin is very good and you can use it for can probably sell above market price<\/span><\/a><\/strong>.
