In addition to the well-known Blue Gems, there are also the so-called Gold Gems. Often overlooked, these skins offer an affordable alternative to the popular Blue Gems.
What exactly is a Gold Gem Skin?
But let's start at the beginning, a Gold Gem is similar to its famous relative, the Blue Gema variant of the Case Hardened skin in Counter-Strike. But this is where the crucial difference lies: while Blue Gems are about achieving the highest possible proportion of blue, the Gold Gem aims to have as little blue as possible. Ideally, there should be no blue at all on the weapon.
Is a Blue Gem or Gold Gem better?
You may rightly be asking yourself whether a Gold Gem or a Blue Gem is "better". In general, a Blue Gem is always significantly more valuable than a Gold Gem, but if you don't want to buy an expensive Blue Gem skin and don't want to miss out on a Case Hardened skin, a Gold Gem skin could be the right choice for you.

Gold Gems sometimes only have the disadvantage that they look quite similar to other skins. For example, a Five-SeveN Gold Gem looks almost exactly like a Five-SeveN Copper Galax from.

The two types of Gold Gems
Gold Gems can be divided into two distinctive categories: Clean and Bright.
With the Clean Gold Gems, the focus is on eliminating all blue. The result is a gun that is dominated exclusively by gold and gray tones, with no sign of blue.
Bright Gold Gems, on the other hand, may still show a little blue, but the gold on the skin is a brighter, shinier version.
You can therefore choose between Clean Gold Gems or Bright Gold Gems depending on your personal taste.
Should you overpay for a Gold Gem?
In general, it is advisable not to pay much above the general market value for Gold Gems. Unlike Blue Gems, Gold Gems are not as popular and do not enjoy the same popularity in the Counter-Strike community. This lower demand is also reflected in their prices, which tend not to be as high. In fact, Gold Gems can often be found at market prices, or slightly above market price.

It is important to remember that Gold Gems are generally not that special. There are often cheaper alternative skins that can look almost as appealing as a Gold Gem, so you should carefully consider whether it is really necessary to go above the usual price for a Gold Gem.
