Marble Fade Guide: Ice and Fire or Tricolour Pattern?

CS2 Marble Fade Guide
CS2 Marble Fade Guide

In the game Counter Strike, the Marble Fade skin is a unique and popular skin with many different patterns. In this guide we explain the most important Marble Fade patterns such as the Ice and Fire Pattern or the Tricolour Pattern. We have a complete Ice and Fire pattern indices table where you can find out if your knife has a special Ice and Fire pattern.

What makes the skin marble fade?

The Marble Fade skin has 5 special patterns. Each skin has the color index "413", which stands for the skin marble fade. The pattern index specifies the pattern for the skin marble fade. However, the pattern index is the same for every knife.

To get an approximate price for your Marble Fade Skins, you need to look at the type of knife, the Degree of wear and view the pattern. The best known and most valuable marble fade pattern is the Ice and Fire pattern (Pattern Index 412).

Ice and Fire Pattern

The Ice and Fire pattern has the colors red and blue. The proportion of these two colors should ideally be equal. The quality is measured by the proportion of red and blue, which should ideally be 50/50.

If the proportion of red or blue is too high, this pattern is classified as a fake ice and fire pattern. If the color yellow is visible on the blade, this is also considered a fake ice and fire pattern. If the blade has significantly more yellow, it may be a tricolor pattern.

Which knives can have an Ice and Fire pattern?

The new boxes, such as the Spectrum Case, there are new Marble Fade finishes. However, it has been officially confirmed that these do not have Ice and Fire patterns.

Officially, only these types of knives can have an Ice and Fire pattern:

  • Karambit
  • Bayonet
  • Flip Knife
  • Good Knife

For knife types without an Ice and Fire pattern, the pattern is differentiated by the tip. Knives with a red tip are more expensive than knives with a blue tip. Yellow tips are generally worth the least.

Knife types without an Ice and Fire pattern:

  • M9 Bayonet
  • Butterfly Knife
  • Bowie Knife
  • Huntsman Knife
  • Falchion Knife
  • Shaddow Daggers
  • Navaja Knife
  • Stiletto Knife
  • Ursus Knife
  • Talon Knife

Tricolor Pattern

A tricolor pattern is a pattern with a balanced ratio of the colors yellow, red and blue. There are basically two variants of the tricolor pattern.

Tricolor pattern with dominant blue

Bayonet Marble Fade - Tricolor Pattern dominant Blue

Tricolor pattern with dominant yellow

Bayonet Marble Fade - Tricolor Pattern dominant Yellow

Gold and Ice Pattern

Like the name "Gold and Ice", this pattern has the colors yellow and blue. This pattern is not particularly popular in the Cs2 community, but is relatively rare to see. If the knife type and condition are good, the price for this pattern rises slightly.
