Most CS2 players want nice skins for their weapons, but not everyone wants or can afford to spend a lot of money on them. That's why we've tested all the ways you can get free skins.
There are many different ways to get free CS2 skins. Some methods are available directly in the game. These include the Item Drops, Major predictions and the Operation Pass. Other methods require an external service. These include the methods: Competitions, Tournaments and Surveys.
1. the weekly supply package (item drops)
The weekly supply package is the safest and probably easiest way to get free CS2 skins. In the supply package each week contains a weapon box that is worth at least €0.25, but with a bit of luck could be worth €80. The same applies to the weapon skin, which is worth a few cents to euros, but in the best case scenario this weapon skin can even be worth €150.
This method is in first place because it is the safest and easiest way to get skins quickly. The average profit is not that high, but a good amount of skins accumulates over a few weeks. The best thing is that you don't have to do anything for this method except play CS2, which is the original reason for the skins in the first place.

The next method is to take part in competitions. The big advantage of this method is that the skins given away are usually expensive knives, sometimes even weapon skins such as Dragon Lores.
The downside is that it is relatively unlikely to win. But that's not a problem if you simply use this method on the side. Taking part usually only takes a few clicks and with a bit of luck you can win a really great skin.

The next method is about participating in CS2 tournaments. CS2 is a very large and popular game, which means that there are many different tournaments. Many smaller tournaments have weapon skins as prizes and you don't have to be a pro to take part.
In some cases, even relatively poorly placed teams receive skins as prizes. So if you're playing CS2 anyway, you might want to consider taking part in a tournament.
There are an incredible number of tournaments from small organizations that you can search for. The best-known sites in German-speaking countries are FACEIT and ESEA.
4. complete tasks and surveys
Another option is to take part in surveys and complete tasks. This method is very simple and promising, but takes a lot of time. It is perfect for you if you need to bridge the gap every now and then, e.g. when traveling by train.
Many different platforms, websites and apps offer the opportunity to complete small tasks or take part in surveys and earn some money in return.
If you have saved up enough money, you can use this money to pay out a Steam credit card or, even better, have the money paid out directly to PayPal. Then you can choose the CS2 skins you want and buy them on the Steam marketplace or a trading site.

The next method we present is, like the supply package, a way to profit directly in CS2. When a major is coming up in Counter Strike, you can make predictions for this tournament in the game. If you make the right predictions about which teams will advance, you will receive tokens that you can use to get weapon skins or souvenir packages.
However, this method requires a small investment in order to participate in the predictions at all. The big advantage, however, is that most active players buy access anyway. Furthermore, the weapon skins and souvenir packages mean that the cost of taking part is quickly recouped and a profit is almost always guaranteed.
6. play Operation Pass
The last option we present is the Operation Pass. This also requires a small investment to buy the pass. For this reason, we have also decided to put the last two methods at the bottom of the list, even though they are very promising.
Again, active players are likely to buy the pass anyway. If the pass tasks are actively played, the price of the pass is quickly recouped. Stars are credited in the Operation Pass for completed tasks. For these stars you can then choose rewards in the form of weapon crates or skins.
Other tips for free CS2 skins
You should always be skeptical of all offers at first and pay close attention. There are many offers from scammers or gambling sites that are not reputable.
