CS2 settings
To get the most out of the FPS in CS2, set the following graphics settings in CS2:

Console commands and start options
The first option available for console commands and start options is to limit the maximum FPS, or to switch off the limitation. Depending on the computer, it is sometimes better to set the FPS to unlimited, while on other computers it is sometimes better to set the FPS to the refresh rate of your own screen.
It's best to try out both and see which runs most consistently without FPS drops.
To limit the FPS, you can use the following console command: +fps max 144
If you want to remove the FPS limit, use the following command: +fps max 0
Another Start option which can be quite helpful is -high. This command ensures that the priority of CS2 is set to "high" and the computer thus provides more performance for CS2. This results in improved FPS values in the game.
Windows settings
A setting can also be made in Windows that may increase the FPS in Counter-Strike 2.
To do this, first open the System control and navigate there to the Hardware and sound Settings. Select the Energy options and set them from Balanced to Top performance.
This may cause your computer to consume more power, but will also ensure that your computer has more power and thus improve the FPS in CS2.
