Statistics and data of all CS2 weapons
Automatic rifles:
Weapon | Price | Damage | Rate of fire | Damage per second | Armor penetration | Magazine size | Recharging time |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
M4A1-S | $2.900 | 38 | 600 RPM | 380 DPS | 70 % | 25 | 3.07 sec. |
M4A4 | $3.100 | 33 | 666 RPM | 366 DPS | 70 % | 30 | 3.07 sec. |
AK-47 | $2.700 | 36 | 600 RPM | 360 DPS | 77,5 % | 30 | 2.43 sec. |
FAMAS | $2.050 | 30 | 666 RPM | 333 DPS | 70 % | 25 | 3.30 sec. |
Galil AR | $1.800 | 30 | 666 RPM | 333 DPS | 77,5 % | 35 | 3.03 sec. |
AUG | $3.300 | 28 | 600 RPM | 280 DPS | 90 % | 30 | 3.77 sec. |
SG 553 | $3.000 | 30 | 545 RPM | 273 DPS | 100 % | 30 | 2.77 sec. |
With the automatic rifles in CS2, it is noticeable that the values of weapons in the same price range are very similar. One difference between the T and CT weapons, however, is that the T weapons have a slightly higher armor penetration in all cases.
If individual weapons have an advantage in one area, they have a disadvantage in another. The M4A1-S, for example, has high damage, but 5 fewer bullets in the magazine than the comparable weapons M4A4 and AK-47.
Sniper rifles
Weapon | Price | Damage | Rate of fire | Damage per second | Armor penetration | Magazine size | Recharging time |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
AWP | $4.750 | 115 | 41 RPM | 79 DPS | 97,5 % | 5 | 3.57 sec. |
SGG 08 (Scout) | $1.700 | 88 | 48 RPM | 70 DPS | 85 % | 10 | 3.70 sec. |
SCAR-20 | $5.000 | 80 | 240 RPM | 320 DPS | 82,5 % | 20 | 3.07 sec. |
G3SG1 | $5.000 | 80 | 240 RPM | 320 DPS | 82,5 % | 20 | 4.67 sec. |
With 115 damage per bullet and 97.5% armor penetration, the AWP is unbeaten in all of CS2. It is the only weapon that can kill an opponent with just one bullet (to the body).
It is also noticeable that the auto-snipers on the T and CT sides have the same values in almost all respects and are therefore almost identical.
Pistols
Weapon | Price | Damage | Rate of fire | Damage per second | Armor penetration | Magazine size | Recharging time |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Glock-18 | ($200) | 30 | 400 RPM | 200 DPS | 47 % | 20 | 2.27 sec. |
USP-S | ($200) | 35 | 353 RPM | 206 DPS | 50,5 % | 12 | 2.17 sec. |
P2000 | ($200) | 35 | 353 RPM | 206 DPS | 50,5 % | 13 | 2.27 sec. |
Desert Eagle | $700 | 53 | 266 RPM | 235 DPS | 93,2 % | 7 | 2.20 sec. |
Five-SeveN | $500 | 32 | 400 RPM | 213 DPS | 91,15 % | 20 | 2.27 sec. |
CZ75 Car | $500 | 31 | 600 RPM | 310 DPS | 77,65 % | 12 | 2.73 sec. |
Tec-9 | $500 | 33 | 500 RPM | 275 DPS | 90,6 % | 18 | 2.57 sec. |
P250 | $300 | 38 | 400 RPM | 253 DPS | 64 % | 13 | 2.27 sec. |
Dual Berettas | $300 | 38 | 500 RPM | 317 DPS | 57,5 % | 30 | 2.27 sec. |
R8 Revolver | $600 | 86 | 120 RPM | 172 DPS | 93,2 % | 8 | 2.20 sec. |
Although the R8 revolver is the pistol with the most damage per bullet, it still has the lowest damage per second due to its low rate of fire. As with the automatic rifles, pistols in the same category are very similar and no pistol stands out in terms of values.
SMGs
Weapon | Price | Damage | Rate of fire | Damage per second | Armor penetration | Magazine size | Recharging time |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
MAC-10 | $1.050 | 29 | 800 RPM | 387 DPS | 57,5 % | 30 | 2.57 sec. |
MP9 | $1.250 | 26 | 857 RPM | 371 DPS | 60 % | 30 | 2.13 sec. |
MP7 | $1.500 | 29 | 750 RPM | 363 DPS | 62,5 % | 30 | 3.13 sec. |
MP5 | $1.500 | 30 | 750 RPM | 375 DPS | 62,5 % | 30 | 2.94 sec. |
UMP-45 | $1.200 | 35 | 666 RPM | 389 DPS | 65 % | 25 | 3.43 sec. |
P90 | $2.350 | 26 | 857 RPM | 371 DPS | 69 % | 50 | 3.37 sec. |
PP-Bizon | $1.400 | 27 | 750 RPM | 338 DPS | 63 % | 64 | 2.43 sec. |
The MAC-10 stands out among the SMGs due to its low price. Despite its low price, however, it can easily keep up with the other values. In general, it is noticeable that all SMGs are very similar to each other and all have a damage per second between 338 DPS and 389 DPS.
Shotguns
Weapon | Price | Damage | Rate of fire | Damage per second | Armor penetration | Magazine size | Recharging time |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Nova | $1.050 | 26 (x9 balls) | 68 RPM | 265 DPS | 50 % | 8 | 4.74 sec. |
XM1014 | $2.000 | 20 (x6 balls) | 171 RPM | 342 DPS | 80 % | 7 | 4.22 sec. |
Sawed-Off | $1.100 | 32 (x8 balls) | 71 RPM | 303 DPS | 75 % | 7 | 4.22 sec. |
Mag-7 | $1.300 | 30 (x8 balls) | 71 RPM | 284 DPS | 75 % | 5 | 2.47 sec. |
The first thing you notice about the shotguns is that they fire a different number of pellets per shot. In addition, the Nova has significantly lower armor penetration than the other shotguns. According to the data, the XM1014 is the best shotgun, but it is also the most expensive shotgun in CS2.
LMGs
Weapon | Price | Damage | Rate of fire | Damage per second | Armor penetration | Magazine size | Recharging time |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Negev | $1.700 | 35 | 800 RPM | 467 DPS | 71 % | 150 | 5.70 sec. |
M249 | $5.200 | 32 | 750 RPM | 400 DPS | 80 % | 100 | 5.70 sec. |
Although the M249 is much more expensive than the Negev, the M249 has less damage, less DPS and a smaller magazine. Only the armor penetration is slightly higher than the Negev, which in no way justifies the much higher price. It is not worth buying the M249.
Which is the best weapon in CS2?
It is not so easy to say which gun is the best in CS2. Many factors such as price-performance and one-shot potential have to be taken into account. For many of these factors, it is not even possible to assign them a numerical value and thus make them comparable.
Probably the easiest way to determine which is the best weapon in CS2 is to compare by damage per second (DPS). In terms of damage per second, the Negev would be the best weapon in CS2. Is the Negev really the best weapon? Probably not, as it has no one-shot potential like an AK-47, for example.
Another way to find the best weapon would be to see which weapons the professional players mainly play. If professional players have enough money, they always buy one of the two M4s, the AK-47 or an AWP. If they have the opportunity to swap an M4 for an AK in a round, most pros will gladly take it, as the AK has better one-shot potential.
It can therefore be said that the AK-47 and the AWP the best weapons in CS2 are.
Is the M4A1-S or the M4A4 better in CS2?
Depending on the situation, it varies whether the M4A1-S or the M4A4 is better.
A look at the data reveals that the M4A1-S is 200 dollars cheaper than the M4A4. It also does 5 more damage per shot than the M4A4. In contrast, the M4A4 has a higher rate of fire and 5 more rounds in the magazine.
The M4A4 is more suitable for spraying at shorter distances than the M4A1-S, while the M4A1-S is better suited for longer distances and tapping.
Is the USP-S or the P2000 better in CS2?
Both weapons do the same damage with a single shot. However, the USP-S is more accurate at longer ranges, while the P2000 has one more round in the magazine and is better suited for shorter ranges.
What is the best MP/SMG in CS2?
Considering all the variables of the weapons, the MAC-10 is probably the best SMG. It is very cheap with a price of 1050 dollars and still has a very high damage with a high rate of fire.
