CS2 Crosshair Guide: The right crosshair for every situation

CS2 Crosshair Guide
CS2 Crosshair Guide

The best crosshair is always a hot topic among CS2 players. Basically, the exact crosshair isn't that important, as long as you keep a few things in mind when creating it. There isn't one perfect crosshair that works for every player.

What is important with the Crosshair?

There are actually only three things you should pay attention to with your Crosshair:

It must stand out from the background
It must not be too small
It shouldn't be too big

To make the crosshair stand out from the background, all you need is a highly saturated color that isn't commonly found on CS2 maps. Adding a border can further enhance this contrast against the background.

The crosshair shouldn't be too small, otherwise it won't be easy to see during fast-paced moments. At the same time, it shouldn't be too large, as that might obscure enemies.

We recommend setting your crosshair to the smallest size that is comfortable for you and still easy to see.

Which crosshairs do the professionals use in CS2?

Most professional crosshairs have two things in common: they are relatively small and have a bright, saturated color. Combining these two features ensures that the crosshair is always easy to see, but it doesn't get in the way or cover too much of the screen.

To give you an idea of the types of crosshairs the pros use, we've put together a small selection of professional crosshairs:
