What is the eDPI?

eDPI stands for "Effective Dots Per-inch" and is a formula for calculating the effective mouse sensitivity. The great advantage of eDPI is that it is independent of hardware and software. The formula is: DPI * mouse sensitivity in the game

Instead of comparing two separate numbers (DPI and mouse sensitivity), it is sufficient to compare only these after calculating the eDPI. The higher the eDPI, the faster the effective mouse speed and the lower the eDPI, the slower the speed.

What is the eDPI needed for?

The eDPI is used to easily compare the mouse sensitivity of different setups in the same game.

Note, however, that your eDPI varies from game to game. The eDPI is only intended to compare the effective mouse sensitivity with other people in the same game. If you want to compare the mouse sensitivity for a different game, you must recalculate the eDPI or convert your mouse sensitivity from one game to another.
